LearnLux is the leading provider of workplace financial wellbeing, and they are seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the company’s financial strategy and operations. This role involves building scalable financial systems and ensuring financial discipline as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic finance partner to the CEO, COO, and Board, providing insight into business performance, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning
- Own and evolve FP&A, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial planning to support growth and decision-making
- Lead and oversee accounting operations, working closely with an outsourced accounting firm to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with GAAP
- Build scalable financial processes, controls, and systems to support a growing B2B2C fintech business
- Prepare and deliver clear, actionable financial reporting for executive leadership and the Board, with a focus on transparency and predictability
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, Client Success, People, and Legal teams to align financial planning with company priorities
- Support go-to-market efforts through pricing analysis, renewals, revenue forecasting, and unit economics
- Manage tax, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with external partners
- Contribute to capital planning, investor communications, and future fundraising preparation as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and financial rigor as the company scales
- Help define the roadmap for building an internal finance team over time, while remaining deeply involved in execution
Skills
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles in high-growth SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses
- Proven experience building and operating finance functions in Series A+ or growth-stage startups
- Strong background in FP&A, accounting oversight, and financial operations, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution
- Deep understanding of GAAP, audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements
- Experience partnering closely with CEOs, COOs, and Boards, with comfort operating under close executive oversight
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and take full ownership in environments with limited structure
- Familiarity with global financial operations, including contractors and multi-currency considerations
- Hands-on experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot (or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required
- Experience in the benefits and wellness industry is heavily preferred
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent credentials are a plus
