[Remote] Senior Security Engineer

Covenant HR is representing a leading organization in the energy and industrial sector, focused on maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture. They are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support enterprise security initiatives, lead the implementation of security technologies, and respond to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior member of the cybersecurity team supporting enterprise security initiatives
• Lead the implementation, administration, and optimization of endpoint security technologies
• Manage and maintain Cortex XDR, BeyondTrust, Proofpoint, and other security platforms
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, threats, and alerts across the environment
• Perform vulnerability management activities, including identification, assessment, and remediation support
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to strengthen security controls
• Support enterprise security architecture initiatives and security best practices
• Partner closely with Information Technology teams to implement and maintain security standards
• Monitor security systems and recommend continuous improvements to security posture
• Assist with the deployment and management of additional security technologies, including Tenable and Nozomi
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protection controls
• Drive ongoing security improvement efforts to reduce organizational risk and enhance cyber resilience

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cortex XDR
• Strong hands-on experience with BeyondTrust
• Strong hands-on experience with Proofpoint
• Experience implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise security tools
• Strong background in endpoint security and security operations
