SCL Footwear Group, founded nearly a decade ago in New York City, specializes in the production and distribution of men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear. They are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive sales growth, develop strategic retail partnerships, and expand distribution for the Bobcat Footwear brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and distribution goals for Bobcat Footwear
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, including Farm & Fleet retailers, Outdoor retailers, and Workwear/Safety footwear retailers
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across national and regional retail accounts
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to support customer needs and maximize sales opportunities
- Conduct regular business reviews with retail partners and provide market insights to senior leadership
- Analyze sales trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
- Attend industry trade shows, customer meetings, and sales events as required
- Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and account performance metrics
Skills
- 8+ years of successful sales experience in the footwear industry
- Proven experience selling work and safety footwear products
- Established relationships with Farm & Fleet retailers and Outdoor retailers
- Demonstrated success managing national and regional retail accounts
- Strong understanding of the workwear, industrial, safety, and outdoor markets
- Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Results-driven with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required for customer meetings, trade shows, and business development activities
- Existing relationships with key retailers such as Tractor Supply, Fleet Farm, Blain's Farm & Fleet, Rural King, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, and similar accounts
- Experience working with private label and branded footwear programs
- Knowledge of safety footwear standards and industry trends
