A&E Specialty Claims Adjuster Position Summary Ategrity is seeking an experienced A&E Specialty Claims Adjuster to support a new and growing line of business. This role will be responsible for managing Architects & Engineers professional liability claims from pre-claim activity through resolution, with a focus on proactive claim handling, thoughtful coverage analysis, litigation management, and strong collaboration with underwriting and business partners. The ideal candidate will have experience handling professional liability claims, including pre-claim matters, and will bring strong judgment, communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a developing claims environment. Key Responsibilities • Manage A&E professional liability claims and pre-claim matters from initial notice through resolution • Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, exposure, and resolution strategy • Prepare timely and accurate coverage, liability, and reserve analysis • Collaborate closely with underwriting to provide claim insights, trend analysis, risk feedback, and account-specific observations • Communicate effectively with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, coverage counsel, underwriting, and internal stakeholders • Select, direct, and manage defense counsel to ensure efficient and strategic claim handling • Develop and execute resolution strategies, including negotiation, mediation, and settlement recommendations • Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, reserves, and diary management • Identify emerging claim trends and provide feedback to support the growth and profitability of the A&E line of business • Support the development of claim protocols, workflows, and best practices for the new Qualifications • Experience handling professional liability claims, preferably involving architects, engineers, design professionals, construction professionals, or other specialty lines • Pre-claim experience strongly preferred • Strong understanding of coverage, liability evaluation, damages assessment, litigation management, and settlement strategy • Ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting and cross-functional Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable helping build processes for a developing line of business.
