Key Deliverables
Infrastructure Management: Oversight of hardware and software systems, including configuration and application management.
Performance & Reliability: Proactively monitoring for bottlenecks and ensuring maximum system availability.
Collaborative Optimization: Partnering with QA and Dev teams to resolve bugs and streamline system performance.
Data Integrity: Managing rigorous backup protocols for all vital systems.
Technical Support: Providing Tier 2 support for our Customer Service team and participating in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours needs.
Vendor Liaison: Coordinating with external partners and service providers for hardware-related issues.
Round-the-Clock Vigilance: Maintaining 24/7 proactive monitoring of both live and pre-production environments.
Ideal Profile
Education/Experience: A degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Linux Proficiency: Solid experience with operating systems, specifically navigating the Linux command line.
Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with core protocols (DNS, NAT, IPSEC, etc.).
Automation Skills: Ability to script in Bash or Python to improve efficiency.
A strong troubleshooter who works well independently or in a team and is eager to learn new technologies.
A genuine interest in Infrastructure, Systems, or DevOps.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Virtual Machines or Containers (Docker).
Exposure to monitoring stacks like Grafana, Zabbix or similar.
Basic SQL skills for simple database queries and backups.
