We’re VOID Interactive, the kick-ass team behind the best-selling FPS game Ready or Not, which has sold over 13 million copies across all platforms. We’re a fully remote, 70+ person studio made up of seriously talented individuals from all over the world who love games and creating exceptional experiences for players.     As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the systems that power our games. You’ll work closely with designers, artists, producers, and fellow engineers to build robust, scalable, and high-performance gameplay and technical systems.    This role requires a highly capable engineer who is comfortable working within large codebases, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership of features from design through implementation. You should be equally comfortable collaborating across disciplines and working independently in a remote-first environment. Additionally, you will support an unannounced project currently in active development. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience shipping games on multiple platforms and working within fast-moving development environments.    Your responsibilities will include:   Designing, developing, and maintaining gameplay and technical systems using C++ and Unreal Engine  Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement features that support gameplay, content creation, and overall product quality  Working within a large existing codebases while maintaining high standards of code quality and maintainability  Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues through effective debugging and problem-solving  Optimisation of systems and workflows to improve game performance, stability, and scalability  Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering best practices  Supporting the testing and validation of new systems and features  Working closely with production and leadership teams to estimate, plan, and deliver engineering work  Contributing to technical decision-making and long-term project goals  The ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders    What you'll bring to the team:   5+ years of professional game development experience  5+ years of professional C++ programming experience  Experience shipping at least one AA or AAA console title  Recent experience working within Unreal Engine development environments  Experience working within large codebases and multidisciplinary development teams  Strong debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills  Ability to plan, design, develop, and test gameplay and technical systems  Strong understanding of software engineering principles, performance considerations, and code quality practices  Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative remote-first team  Strong communication and collaboration skills    Bonus points if you have:   Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build engineering, or DevOps workflows  Experience supporting live-service or post-launch products  Experience contributing to technical architecture and long-term engineering planning    Please note:     For Irish residents, this role is offered as a full-time employee position.
