About the Role Our client, a global leader in advanced technology solutions, is expanding its remote engineering capabilities and is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is central to the design, development, and lifecycle management of innovative electromechanical products. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and analyzing complex mechanical systems from concept to production, all while working from the comfort of your own home office. Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design and development of complex electromechanical systems and product components. Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and specifications using advanced CAD software. Perform comprehensive engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, vibration, and tolerance analyses, using CAE tools. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electrical engineering, software, product management) in a remote setting using digital collaboration tools. Manage design documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensure seamless data integration within the PDM/PLM system. Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, analyzing results and implementing design improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues identified during development, manufacturing, or field deployment. Contribute to product design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA), optimizing for remote collaboration and production efficiency. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices for remote mechanical engineering workflows. Requirements Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development. Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and experience with CAE simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, etc.), and GD&T. Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in using digital collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Teams, Zoom). Demonstrated success in contributing to product development lifecycles from concept to production. Experience with PDM/PLM systems is highly desirable.
