A fast-growing consulting & advisory firm is seeking a Senior Director - Tax Operations to join its expanding leadership team. In this highly visible role, you will oversee large-scale tax and operations functions while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive operational excellence, scalability, and an exceptional client experience. This is a fully remote role, which can be based anywhere in the US.
About the Senior Director - Tax Operations
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the operational delivery of tax, and tax advisory services across domestic, international, and third-party service delivery teams.
• Oversee multiple operational leaders while driving consistency, quality, and service excellence across all functions.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational performance metrics to ensure high-quality client outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product, Client Services, and leadership teams to align operational execution with business strategy.
• Lead workforce planning, resource allocation, hiring forecasts, and peak-season readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, workflow redesign, automation, and standardization.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure external service providers meet performance and contractual expectations.
• Provide data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and the overall client experience.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Extensive leadership experience within a corporate, professional services, accounting, tax, or financial consulting environment.
• Demonstrated success leading large operational teams while improving service delivery, quality, and organizational scalability.
• Strong experience driving operational transformation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to develop performance metrics, manage KPIs, and lead high-performing teams through change.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience overseeing hybrid US and offshore operations is highly desirable.
