We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join our Security Research group. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you will:
- Work closely with security researchers
- Turn prototypes, scrapers, and research pipelines into scalable production systems
- Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance
- Build systems powering open-source intelligence and security research efforts
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable backend systems and data pipelines
- Transform research prototypes into production-grade services
- Work with large datasets and high-scale systems
- Collaborate closely with security researchers and engineers
- Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of services
- Contribute to architecture decisions and system design
- Leverage AI/LLMs and automation tools to improve engineering workflows
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend development experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience building and operating production SaaS services
- Strong experience with high-scale systems and large datasets
- Ability to independently drive projects end-to-end
- Experience designing scalable architectures and data pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and builder mindset
- Comfortable using AI tools / LLMs in development workflows
Nice to Have (Bonus Points):
- Experience at a cybersecurity startup
- Malware analysis or reverse engineering (obfuscation, encryption, sandboxing, time-bombs)
