This role focuses on maximizing the value of PBS’s content library and driving audience growth through innovative content strategies and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Deep expertise in recommendation-driven platforms dynamics (e.g., algorithms) and an understanding of how growth levers translate across other digital platforms including streaming apps and social video ecosystems
- Proven track record of driving growth at meaningful scale (e.g., large audiences, multi-channel ecosystems, or rapid-growth environments) across YouTube, streaming, or digital video businesses, with measurable impact on audience growth and engagement metrics
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across content, marketing, analytics, and product teams
- Skilled at building relationships and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, creators, and external partners
- Strategic and analytical thinker who uses performance data, audience insights, and platform trends to drive measurable growth outcomes and inform both distribution strategy and upstream content decisions
- Serve as a central connector across teams, translating audience insights into actionable programming, packaging, and distribution strategies. Collaborate with our Business Intelligence Group, Programming, Marketing, Product teams and external production partners to ensure alignment with editorial, brand and distribution priorities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field
- Equivalent professional experience is strongly valued, especially for candidates with demonstrated success in digital video or creator ecosystems
- Experience owning, managing, or scaling digital video channels, ideally with responsibility for performance outcomes
- Deep understanding of platform analytics, audience segmentation, content performance, and growth levers across digital ecosystems
- Strong organizational, project management, and operational execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and external partners
- Analytical mindset with experience using performance data to inform decision
- Familiarity with YouTube, streaming platforms, social video ecosystems, and emerging digital distribution channels
