They are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to support and enhance their client's Enterprise Data Platform while enabling analytics, reporting, and emerging AI capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration processes
- Build and optimize ELT/ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, SQL, and related technologies
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery for both operational and analytical use cases
- Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and availability across the enterprise data platform
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, workflows, and production issues
- Develop and maintain data models that support enterprise reporting and analytics
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and reporting teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Support self-service reporting and business intelligence initiatives
- Contribute to semantic layer development and data standardization efforts
- Enable reporting across key business domains including sales, marketing, supply chain, planning, operations, and product development
- Support the ongoing evolution of the Azure-based Enterprise Data Platform
- Work with structured and semi-structured data sources across multiple business systems
- Participate in platform enhancements, performance tuning, and data governance initiatives
- Collaborate with architects and technical leadership on future platform improvements
- Support data engineering initiatives related to AI, machine learning, and LLM-based solutions
- Assist in preparing and organizing enterprise data for AI and advanced analytics use cases
- Contribute to semantic models and data structures that support AI-enabled applications and intelligent data retrieval
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile development processes
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, product owners, and technical teams to deliver solutions aligned to business priorities
- Document data flows, technical solutions, and operational processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and delivery practices
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related roles
- Strong experience building and supporting cloud-based data platforms
- Hands-on experience with: Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL and Azure Cloud Services
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Experience supporting analytics and reporting environments
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- Advanced SQL development and optimization
- Data pipeline development and orchestration
- Data integration across multiple source systems
- Data quality, validation, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Experience designing enterprise data architecture and data platform roadmaps
- Experience with MicroStrategy/Strategy, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, LLM, or semantic layer initiatives
- Experience with Databricks, dbt, Spark, Python, or related modern data engineering tools
- Retail, consumer products, apparel, supply chain, or manufacturing industry experience
- Experience participating in platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives
- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and master data management programs
