[Remote] Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help build and scale modern, automated testing solutions. This role combines traditional QA expertise with AI-driven testing practices, focusing on designing automation frameworks and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements
• Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance test coverage, defect detection, and regression reliability
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Java, and Jenkins
• Manage and optimize test case repositories and regression test suites
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments
• Identify, track, and perform root cause analysis of defects
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve test systems and frameworks
• Ensure consistent quality standards and best practices across releases
• Support test environment planning, execution, and reporting
• Build user-friendly dashboards for test results across QA, UAT, business, and IT teams

Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and automation testing
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (2+ years)
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Proficiency in Java programming (preferred)
• Experience with tools such as: Selenium WebDriver / Grid, Jenkins / CI tools, JUnit, JMeter, SoapUI
• Proven ability to create and maintain automated regression test suites
• Experience applying AI tools in test automation workflows
• Test methodologies: TDD, ATDD, BDD
• API testing: Postman, Rest Assured, GraphQL, OAuth2/JWT
• Performance testing: JMeter, Gatling, K6
• Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Automation frameworks: Data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid frameworks
• Experience testing: Web services and APIs, Batch and file-based systems, Integration workflows
