Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SoC Top Level Design Engineer to join our team. As a SoC Top Level Design Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the development, production, and delivery of high-level RTL/designs for ASIC and SoC projects from concept to working silicon volume. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and develop ideas for high-impact Silicon and Hardware projects.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development, production, and delivery of high-level RTL/designs for ASIC and SoC projects from concept to working silicon volume
- Resolve complex technical issues related to the integration of complex ASICs and SoCs and collaborate with teams across Google to develop ideas for high-impact Silicon and Hardware projects
- Manage all cross-functional interactions related to high-level RTL of chip projects
- Improve cross-functional performance techniques to create consistency and efficiency across multiple parallel execution teams and projects
- Perform technical assessments of vendors and IP, providing recommendations and evaluation of process node tradeoffs to meet performance, power, area, and cost targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering)
- 2+ years of experience in ASIC design flows and methodologies
- 2+ years of experience in IP integration (e.g., Memories, Info/Results, and Simple IP) and RTL design
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Tcl, or Perl), Verilog/SystemVerilog, and other technology hubs
- Preferred experience with various technologies (e.g., embedded processors, Double Data Rate (DDR), Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes), networking on-chip fabrics, etc.)
