Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lutz Tech is a business solutions firm that provides expert advisory and compliance services in various domains. They are seeking a Senior M365 Cloud Engineer to lead Microsoft 365 projects, design security solutions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with project and account managers.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery of Microsoft 365 projects for a diverse set of clients – from migrations and deployments to complex environment buildouts
- Serve as the technical authority on M365, Entra ID, and Intune for Clients and the Team
- Design and implement security solutions including Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance
- Build automation that makes deployments faster and more consistent
- Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar across the team
- Partner with Project Managers and Account Managers as the technical voice on every engagement
- Use AI tools as part of how you work — diagnosing problems, researching solutions, and adding efficiencies
Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and implementation
- 6+ years of experience working within technology
- Deep familiarity with Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, and Conditional Access
- Experience with tenant migrations, hybrid configurations, and identity security
- Leverages scripting to automate and optimize processes
- Strong client communication skills; you can explain technical decisions to non-technical people
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your daily workflow
- Solutions-oriented mindset, tackling obstacles with confidence and persistence
- Experience supporting multiple clients or working in an MSP environment is preferred
- Microsoft Azure fundamentals (hands-on experience or working toward AZ-104/MS-102 — we cover cert costs)
- Server/Network infrastructure background (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, on-premises environments)
- Virtualization experience (VMware or Hyper-V)
