The Senior Financial Analyst is a core member of the FP&A team, responsible for forecasting, planning, reporting, and decision support across the business, while partnering with Sales, Operations, and leadership to translate data into action.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models for revenue, gross margin, and operating expense across product lines and channels
- Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and multi-year Long Range Plan (LRP), including stretch scenarios for sales and EBITDA
- Develop PPG-level forecasts and scenario tools for key cost categories, including distribution and freight spend
- Partner with Sales leadership to build and refine account-level planning templates and bottoms-up volume forecasts
- Own monthly close reporting, including variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year, with clear narratives on the drivers behind the numbers
- Prepare and present performance reviews and decision-support analyses for finance and functional leaders
- Identify risks and opportunities across the P&L and proactively surface insights to leadership
- Build, maintain, and enhance robust data models using Excel Power Pivot, Power Query, and SQL to consolidate data from multiple source systems
- Continuously improve reporting accuracy and efficiency through automation and standardization
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, streamline workflows, and generate enhanced insights
- Build strong relationships across Sales, Operations, and Accounting to act as a trusted strategic partner
- Support month-end close in partnership with Accounting, including accruals, journal entries, and GL review
- Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses as assigned by management
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 4+ years of progressive FP&A, finance, or analytics experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling, pivot tables, and Power Pivot / data modeling
- Hands-on SQL experience for querying and managing data from multiple sources
- CPG industry experience, with a strong understanding of revenue, trade, and margin drivers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make numbers make sense to non-financial audiences
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems
- Familiarity with emerging AI tools and their application to finance workflows
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Exposure to retail, club, and e-commerce channel dynamics
