The Senior Director will be a key leader in transforming Patient Services, responsible for defining and executing strategies to enhance patient support throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Create a World-Class Patient Services Program by developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance patient services, standardizing the customer experience and implementing innovative approaches to maximize efficiency
- Responsible for overall strategy, development and maintenance of patient services model and operation across multi-therapeutic categories, and determine the right balance of insourced vs outsourced services
- Manage all aspects of patient services operations, including new patient enrollment, benefits verification/prior authorization, copay reimbursement, and clinical education management
- Oversee all Patient Services vendors, including Hub services
- Ensure patient data is ingested, maintained, managed and used in an ethical and compliant way in collaboration with legal and compliance
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of business rules and related program documentation to ensure program compliance with industry standards
- Lead analytic resources focused on HUB operations and establish program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), measure performance against them and provide reporting to various levels within the organization
- Work closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Finance, Legal & Compliance to align and deliver on commercial objectives through planning, coordination and communication
- Implement innovative approaches to increase efficiency and to meet customer expectations
- Develop and manage patient services budget, allocating resources effectively to meet program goals
- Lead, mentor and provide guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Patient Service Operations experience, with demonstrated success of creating, building and launching programs and experience working with Specialty products required
- Significant experience leading patient services hub operations across internal and outsourced models, with a strong understanding of the strategic and operational considerations of both mandatory and non-mandatory programs
- Ten (10) years of experience in Patient Services, with five (5) or more years of senior management experience in healthcare or related area of business required
- Extensive content knowledge of pharmacy operations, public and private insurance plans, medical and pharmacy benefits
- Proven understanding of the AOP process, financials, POs and budgets
- Demonstrated capability to understand Specialty Pharmacies and synergist opportunities
- Ability to establish trusting working relationships with internal & external partners
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and motivate a team of individuals to take accountability and drive results
- Demonstrated team building skills to promote an environment of diversity, collaboration and recognition

- Five (5) or more years of vendor management/contract management experience preferred
