Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Karsun Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to enhance their capabilities and sustain delivery excellence to clients. The role involves supporting a federal agency in backend system development, data management, and IT security support, while conducting requirement analysis and delivering training to end users.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the product owners (POs) and sustainment manager as a member of a team consisting of developers, network engineers and other SMEs to:
- Finalize requirements and maintain product backlog
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and gain consensus
- Help team with testing (System, Functional and UAT)
- Contribute to release planning activities to establish release notes and communications for the program
- Collaborate with the product Team monthly to prioritize the team backlog, set work priorities, identify risk, collaborate with development team members to document progress
- Use JIRA and other tracking software to track user stories and synchronize with high-side JIRA via weekly exports to be integrated with development efforts in other enterprise programs
- Work closely with testing team and participate and coordinate various testing activities
- Document SOPs and technical specifications
- Create user and update user manuals
- Develop training presentations
- Perform the role of a lead Business Analyst/Scrum Master
- Negotiate deliverables by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT (developers and testers) from initial requirements to final implementation
- Deliver client presentations, facilitate Joint Application Design sessions, and assist in the completion of required deliverables
- Translate high level business requirements into user stories and acceptance test criteria using Agile methodology
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or other IT degree
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Significant capabilities in system development requirements gathering and analysis
- Strong problem solving and design skills
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working with key client stakeholders to define and document business processes including functional and technical system requirements
- Experience with application development methodologies such as Agile including writing user stories/epics and acceptance criteria using Jira or Rally
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous work streams, including projects and program initiatives, and prioritize, manage, and execute effectively with compressed timelines and ambiguous tasking
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of and complete relatively complex tasks, effectively using available resources, as needed, with minimal guidance
- The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
