Dice is a recruitment company seeking a Principal Network Architect to serve as a primary technical advisor for enterprise networking engagements. The role involves leading architecture discussions, designing networking strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical advisor for enterprise networking engagements
- Lead architecture discussions with customers, executives, and technical teams
- Design and recommend enterprise networking strategies aligned with business objectives
- Present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams to drive successful project outcomes
- Provide technical leadership throughout solution design, planning, and implementation
- Support pre-sales activities, technical workshops, and executive presentations
- Build strong relationships with customers while effectively managing challenging stakeholder situations
- Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend best practices
- Ensure proposed solutions align with security, scalability, and operational requirements
Skills
- 10+ years of enterprise networking experience
- Experience serving as a Network Architect, Enterprise Network Architect, Principal Consultant, or Technical Advisor
- Strong expertise in: Cisco SD-WAN
- Strong expertise in: Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA)
- Strong expertise in: Enterprise Network Security
- Strong expertise in: Routing & Switching
- Strong expertise in: Network Architecture
- Strong expertise in: Network Segmentation
- Strong expertise in: Wireless Networking
- Strong expertise in: Zero Trust and Secure Access concepts
- Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure and modern networking architectures
- Excellent executive-level presentation and communication skills
- Proven experience working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders
- Ability to influence architectural decisions and resolve complex technical challenges
- Strong consulting and relationship management skills
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, or Cisco Certified Architect (CCA)
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center)
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with SASE, Secure Access, and network automation
- Previous consulting, professional services, or client-facing architecture experience
