The Manufacturing Engineer role involves providing engineering support to manufacturing operations, focusing on process design, tooling, and capital project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engineering projects including equipment, tooling, and process improvements. Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, safety requirements, company standards, and other related specifications
- Generate project approval justification through Capital Asset Project Requests (CAPR) and manage Capital Projects including procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, support to production, and provide status reports as required
- Identify project staffing, assign and oversee specific phases or aspects such as technical studies, design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing
- Analyze, plan, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
Skills
- Manufacturing process review/development
- Strong understanding of Lean process improvements
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2 plus years of experience
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and computer controls, CAD Software; SolidWorks, Microsoft: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Workday, Lean Six Sigma Certification, PMP Certification
