[Remote] Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Datum Technologies Group is seeking a skilled Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant to support application migration projects utilizing IBM DBB, Git, and IDD solutions. The consultant will provide technical expertise, hands-on migration support, and training while guiding clients through SCM-to-DBB/Git/IDD conversion initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SCM migration projects from Endevor and other legacy SCM platforms to DBB/Git/IDD
• Articulate a strategic vision for modernizing IBM Git and DBB solutions while demonstrating business value
• Design and implement DevOps pipelines utilizing Git, IBM DBB for intelligent mainframe builds, and automated deployment processes
• Assess existing SCM workflows and develop migration strategies to Git and IBM DBB
• Perform installation, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting of DBB, Git, and IDD solutions
• Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications
• Provide technical support and resolve DBB, Git, IDD, and Wazi-related issues
• Conduct customer training sessions and create technical training and presentation materials
• Collaborate with CLIENT stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
• Document migration methodologies, best practices, and technical resolutions

• Proven experience installing and migrating solutions on IBM z/OS and USS environments
• Excellent customer engagement and consulting skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-determination capabilities related to Git, DBB, IDD, and Wazi
• IBM DBB, Git, and IDD/Wazi Deployment experience
• Strong z/OS and USS installation and migration expertise
• Mainframe application development or system programming background
• DevOps pipeline architecture and troubleshooting
• Excellent customer-facing communication and consulting skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Programmer or in a similar technical role
• 4+ years of customer-facing consulting experience
• Experience with software development, application lifecycle management, or change management
