The Help Desk Technician role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware and software, ensuring effective resolution of user issues.
Responsibilities
- Installs, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software both in person and using remote access tools
- Provides end-user software and hardware troubleshooting
- Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions
- Administers e-mail, Microsoft office, etc
- Provides remote support access through desktop mirroring and other remote access applications for worldwide sites
- Identify, investigate, resolve, and follow-up problems brought to the helpdesk by users of cloud infrastructure
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
Skills
- Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance level must currently possess
- Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance level must be able to obtain
- 5 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- AA/AS degree or equivalent technical training, certification(s) or experience
- Candidate must possess an appropriate and current DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Certification to be considered for employment
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
- CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification
