The Instructional Designer will design training courses and materials, ensuring they meet business goals and improve performance through effective eLearning tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Designs courseware including scrip writing, storyboards, facilitator guides and participant materials as well as course certification in compliance with company process of learning
- Creates and maintains pre-, post-, and behavioral change assessments within each course; uses data to provide statistical proof that course objectives are being achieved
- Consistently researches technology and media options for effective adult blended learning
- Creates and maintains training material and ensures that adult learning principles are applied
- Partners with various subject matter experts to design content, where appropriate
- Produces and/or creates engaging visual content that will keep concepts fresh and relevant for colleagues
- Participate in design reviews, revisions, and quality assurance checks
- Maintain version control and documentation for assigned learning assets
- Creates and manages development timelines and milestones to ensure all requirements are met
- Stay informed about instructional design trends, emerging tools, and best practices, including AI platforms such as Co-Pilot and Articulate AI
- Performs other duties as assigned

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or Education from an accredited college or equivalent work experience required
- Six (6) years training experience (including e-learning) and course design or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include advanced knowledge of instruction design-related tools
- Knowledge of all aspects of Adult Learning, including analyzing performance needs, designing training materials including e-learning content, instructing/facilitating, evaluating training, and coaching the application of training
- Good knowledge of human performance technology and consulting
- Knowledge of authoring tools including Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premier Pro, and Photoshop)
- Good knowledge of e-learning theories and technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
