The role involves supporting the maintenance and modernization of complex Federal enterprise applications, along with designing, developing, and testing Java application code in an Agile environment.

- Supports maintenance, enhancement and modernization of complex Federal enterprise applications
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing Java application code in an Agile Scrum environment
- Troubleshoots complex problems in the development environment
- Collaborates with multi-site team to identify, resolve and test solutions to issues with new modules
- Optimizes and performance tunes developed code

- Solid understanding of designing, development, database development, and testing methodologies
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend systems using Java

- Ability to work as part of multi-site team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, another related discipline, or equivalent work experience in the software development field will be considered
- 5+ years of object-oriented development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on, strong Java development experience
- 3+ years of experience with database technologies
- Strong proficiency in Angular15+ framework
- Experience with SpingBoot and Hybernate
- Experience with Agile development and AWS Cloud environments
- Drupal content management
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
