Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DMI is a leading provider of digital services and technology solutions, headquartered in Tysons Corner, VA. They are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications for a federal agency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy features and enhancements across front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (Python/FastAPI) layers
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI with proper validation, error handling, versioning, and OpenAPI documentation
- Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using ReactJS in adherence to Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Implement and manage data models, queries, migrations, and stored procedures in PostgreSQL
- Operate within a trunk-based development workflow; commit small incremental changes frequently and use short-lived feature branches and feature flags
- Package applications using Docker; support deployment of containerized workloads to AWS environments
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests using pytest, Jest, and React Testing Library
- Maintain technical documentation, including API docs, data model diagrams, architecture decision records, and developer guides
Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker
- Sufficient familiarity with AWS cloud services to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications
- 3+ years of full-stack software development experience in a collaborative, team-based engineering environment
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline concepts and IaC tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions
- Experience developing applications in a federal or regulated environment
- Familiarity with Section 508 web accessibility standards
- Top Secret Clearance Required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
