[Remote] Freelance - Writer, Copyeditor/Proofreader, and Project Management

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Infinite Global is an international communications firm specializing in PR, Content & Campaigns, and Crisis & Litigation. They are expanding their roster of freelance talent for content work with law firm clients, seeking experienced freelancers for writing, copyediting, and project management roles.

Responsibilities

• Drafting award nominations
• Ghostwriting thought leadership
• Contributing to larger content initiatives
• Interviewing law firm partners and collaborating closely with lawyers to refine and finalize content
• Editing award nominations
• Editing thought leadership
• Editing publications (e.g., alumni magazines, annual outlooks)
• Building and managing project timelines
• Assigning articles in collaboration with the managing editor
• Tracking progress across multiple contributors
• Maintaining version control and file organization
• Providing weekly status updates to clients

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in the legal profession—either as legal reporters and/or in-house in writing/comms roles at law firms
• Strong journalistic approach to storytelling
• Comfortable working with law firm partners and firm leadership
• Experience writing across corporate practice areas
• Deep understanding of the legal industry
• Experience copyediting legal-facing content
• Comfortable working with technical terminology
• Strong AP style knowledge
• Ability to adapt to client-specific styles
• Detail-oriented project management skills
• Ability to build and manage project timelines
• Experience assigning articles in collaboration with the managing editor
• Ability to track progress across multiple contributors
• Maintaining version control and file organization
• Providing weekly status updates to clients
