Daley And Associates, LLC is a growing Boston-based venture capital firm seeking an experienced Finance Associate to join its finance and operations team. This role involves supporting fund accounting, operations, reporting, and investor relations, providing significant exposure to senior leadership and contributing to strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support quarterly close processes, including fund valuations
- Process investor capital activity, allocations, and fee calculations
- Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and cash management activities
- Partner closely with outsourced fund administrators
- Assist with annual US GAAP financial statement preparation and audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally with investment and legal teams
- Drive process improvement, automation, and operational scalability initiatives
- Review K-1 reporting and support investor relations efforts
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives across the firm
Skills
- 4–7 years of experience in fund accounting or investment fund operations
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investor allocations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills required; automation/programming experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a flexible remote environment while managing multiple priorities
- Background within venture capital, private equity, or alternative investments
