They are seeking a Director, Technical Program Manager to lead technology integration for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of acquired companies into their systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Corporate Initiatives and internal teams to define integration strategy during due diligence and post-close phases
- Translate business objectives into technical integration roadmaps
- Develop detailed program plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Support technical due diligence activities assessing targets for alignment of technologies, services, compliance, scalability, and technical debt
- Identify integration complexity, risks, and cost estimates
- Act as the central point of coordination across executives, engineering teams, and business stakeholders
- Provide clear status updates, dashboards, and executive-level reporting
- Facilitate decision-making across competing priorities
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional integration programs across applications, IT, security, and data teams
- Drive execution of system integrations
- Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Proactively identify integration risks (technical, operational, security)
- Drive mitigation strategies and escalation when needed
- Manage trade-offs between speed, cost, and technical quality
- Build and refine M&A integration playbooks, frameworks, and best practices
- Standardize onboarding and integration processes for repeatability
Skills
- 8-10+ years of Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or related experience
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs
- Direct experience with M&A integration, or large-scale system integration
- Strong understanding of design and implementation of complex technical solutions
- Proven ability to influence without authority across senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills with the ability to align business objectives with technology delivery
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience reporting to Boards and Executive Committees
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience driving risk remediation efforts
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar
- Industry certifications preferred: PMP, PgMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP, and/or Agile and Scrum Certifications
- PMP, PgMP, or Scrum certifications (nice to have)
- Experience in high-growth tech companies or platform businesses
- Familiarity in software engineering, systems engineering, or solutions architecture
- Working knowledge of security/compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
