Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. La Perouse LLC is a growing medical billing company dedicated to delivering accurate and efficient revenue cycle management services. The Director of Analytics and Controls will be responsible for the company's data strategy, reporting, and analysis function, ensuring operational excellence across billing operations while leading a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the company's Reporting and Analysis function, including design, development, and maintenance of operational dashboards and executive-level reports
- Define and enforce data governance standards, KPI frameworks, and reporting best practices across departments
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Oversee the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all internal and client-facing reports
- Manage and optimize all information systems, including practice management platforms, clearinghouses, EHR integrations, and internal tools
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data interfaces and EDI/API integrations between billing systems and payer/provider networks
- Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies to enhance workflow automation and data accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for system issues, outages, and technical problem resolution
- Maintain documentation for all system configurations, data flows, and integration specifications
- Lead cross-functional technology and data projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports for all active initiatives
- Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Client Services teams to prioritize and execute on the technology roadmap
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for third-party technology providers
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing information management team, including analysts, interface specialists, and systems administrators
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data quality, and accountability
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive experience in information management, healthcare IT, or revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in managing data systems and integrations within a medical billing or healthcare operations environment
- Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously; PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong proficiency in reporting tools and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar)
- Deep understanding of EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, etc.), clearinghouse workflows, and payer connectivity
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fully remote environment
- Coding experience in one or more languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar — with the ability to write scripts, automate workflows, or troubleshoot data pipelines
- Experience with API design and integration (REST, HL7 FHIR)
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and data security best practices in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with offshore or cross-cultural teams, particularly in the Philippines
- Background in Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
