The role of Account Executive involves driving territory growth through strategic business development and managing customer relationships within the Southeast region.
Responsibilities
- Drive aggressive territory growth through strategic business development and relationship-driven sales efforts across the Southeast region
- Develop new customer relationships within food processors, food manufacturers, packers, and related food industry organizations
- Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying additional revenue opportunities within those relationships
- Execute a highly proactive “hunter” sales approach through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and industry relationship building
- Partner closely with leadership to execute territory growth strategies and expand overall market presence
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by identifying packaging challenges and delivering tailored solutions
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through consistent outbound activity and customer engagement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations, customer support, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional client experience
- Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to support customer relationships, prospect meetings, and business development initiatives
- Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade-related functions
- Continuously monitor market activity, customer trends, and competitive dynamics within the food packaging industry
- Contribute directly to the continued expansion of the company’s brand and market share throughout the Southeast region
Skills
- 5–10 years of business development, account management, or outside sales experience within the food industry required
- Experience selling into food processors, food manufacturers, packers, or related food industry organizations required
- Must be located within the Southeastern part of the United States
- Strong “hunter mentality” with the ability to prospect, cold call, and generate new opportunities independently
- Ability to work remotely while managing territory priorities
- Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling capabilities
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast region as needed
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required based on overall industry and sales experience
