Medical Billing Business Development Representative (1099)

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Independent Contractor (1099) to generate and close new business opportunities for our medical billing services. The ideal candidate should have strong sales expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting defined performance targets. Key Responsibilities • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, cold outreach, networking, and referrals within the healthcare industry. • Present and promote medical billing services to clinics, hospitals, and healthcare providers by clearly communicating the company’s value proposition. • Conduct sales meetings, product demos, and client consultations to understand potential clients’ billing challenges and offer tailored solutions. • Handle client objections effectively and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to successfully close deals. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare providers, administrators, and key decision-makers. • Manage and maintain an organized sales pipeline, including lead tracking, follow-ups, and deal progression using CRM tools. • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs. • Collaborate with internal teams, including billing, operations, and onboarding, to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery. • Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, medical billing regulations, RCM practices, and competitor offerings to position services effectively. • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates. • Maintain professional communication and represent the company brand with integrity in all client interactions. Requirements • Proven experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or medical billing services sales. • Experience in medical billing services sales or healthcare-related sales will be preferred. • Strong understanding of healthcare industry workflows and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is a plus. • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote/contract-based environment. • Experience using CRM tools for pipeline management, lead tracking, follow-ups, and client management. • Strong networking and relationship-building skills. • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a performance-based role. Compensation & Incentives • Performance-based commission on closed deals. • Recurring/residual earnings based on client retention. • Incentives and bonuses for exceeding performance targets. • Compensation details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
