Global Support and Development is seeking to hire a remote Information Analyst within our Information and Awareness Team. The position is full-time, fixed-term. The assignment will end on December 18, 2026.

As a critical contributor to the team, the Information Analyst collects, processes, and analyzes data to deliver high-quality insights on GSD’s operational areas and context. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deeply understand and meet their reporting and product needs.

Reporting to the Information Manager, you will develop key information products—such as situation reports and briefs—that benefit both GSD and its partners. Additionally, you will champion data accuracy and quality by creating, sharing, and maintaining essential project artifacts and knowledge management systems.

  1. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on GSD areas of operation (Caribbean, Latin America, and South Pacific) and context, keeping a pulse on natural hazards, changing dynamics, and humanitarian needs;
  2. tracking emerging trends and hazards to inform organizational priorities and strategic decisions;
  3. Collaborate with other departments to design, refine, and implement rapid damage, operational, and needs assessments for use during emergency response operations;
  4. Support training of GSD staff on use of rapid assessments.
  5. Synthesize and analyze assessment findings to support decision making by GSD leadership during responses.
  6. Communicate data findings effectively, using both written and visual formats, to influence decision-making and support disaster preparedness and response initiatives;
  7. Develop key documentation, reports, and other information products, both routine and as requested by internal and external stakeholders;
  8. Support assessment activities, provide advice on assessment design to ensure data quality, and manage data collection and analysis platforms and tools such as ArcGIS Survey123 and FieldMaps;
  9. Support ad hoc data requests within GSD’s existing standard operating procedures and best practices;
  10. Collaborate with external stakeholders as needed;
  11. Provide information for daily briefings during deployments and engagements;
  12. Provide informational support within GSD’s Operations Room during a disaster response, as needed;
  13. Prompt and action GSD’s core values of accountability, humility, and integrity in all work;
  14. Promote good stewardship of financial and other resources to achieve maximum benefit to those impacted by disaster or at risk of impact; and
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
