Job description: DESCRIPTIONAmazon Air (AIR) is in search of a Data Analyst to join the Maintenance Operations team (MXO). The MXO Team works 24/7 within the Amazon Air Network Control Center (NCC) located at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (KCVG). MXO's primary focus is to provide real-time technical information regarding AOG aircraft, fleet health, and readiness for the AIR global network. Critical thinking is necessary for required communication of aircraft maintenance impact on complex network execution and contingency planning.This role is based at the CVG19 site located in Erlanger, KY and is not available for remote work.#AmazonAir #FlyAmazonKey job responsibilities
- Develop and implement new tools to support the business
- Create, support, and continuously improve reports and metrics that support the business operations
- Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like QuickSight
- Shape and deliver key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
- Dive deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL, and other data manipulation languages
- Work directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities
- Actively manage the turnaround time and deliverables of projects, anticipate risks, and resolve issues
- Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
- Understand business impact of trends and make decisions based on available data
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
- Communicate via telephone, instant messaging, and video telecommunications
- Work independently in a high-pressure environmentBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 1+ years of professional or military experience
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reachPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with end-to-end project management
