About the opportunity:
The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, fielding questions about scheduling with providers, directing calls to appropriate parties, taking and distributing messages, and scheduling appointments.
What you will do:
- Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc.
- Receives and initiates calls to and from patients, providers, outside provider offices, while following established scheduling procedures and protocols.
- Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software.
- Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional manner and scheduling of patient appointments.
- Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient.
- Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals to schedule appointments.
- Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests.
- Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Must be HIPAA compliant

What you will need:
Experience:
• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

The posted salary range for this position is the anticipated hiring range in Colorado and will be adjusted based on geographic location. considers a variety of factors in making compensation decisions which influence the offer a candidate receives.
