About the Role:
As the Client Accountability Manager, you will own the follow-through on every commitment made in client meetings — making sure nothing gets lost between what was said and what actually happens. This is a role built for someone wired for reliability, not visibility: you are not the loudest person on the call, you are the reason nothing falls through the cracks.
This role sits between client-facing conversations and internal execution, working closely with the VP of Marketing Operations and the internal Project Manager to translate client commitments into tracked, owned, and completed work.
This is an ideal role for someone who thinks operationally in real time, listens for what's implied as much as what's said, and is ready to work at a company where operations, performance, and impact are at the core of the culture.
What You'll Do
Client Call Ownership
Attend client calls to listen and track — capturing explicit commitments, implied ones, client concerns, and any timelines being floated
Assess whether commitments being made in real time are realistic, and calmly redirect when a timeline or deliverable needs internal confirmation before being promised
Deliver a verbal action item readback before every call ends, confirming what was captured with all parties before anyone hangs up
Action Item Management
Log every action item in ClickUp the same day, assigned to the correct owner
Add deadlines only when confirmed by the person doing the work — never assign timelines on the team's behalf without confirmation
Maintain active follow-through on every open item, with a check-in cadence of no more than 48 hours
Proactive Risk Escalation
Identify and escalate at-risk deadlines internally before the client notices or raises them
Bring full context when escalating: what the item is, why it's delayed, what the options are, and a recommendation
Provide weekly visibility on open items — what's on track, what's at risk, what's been closed
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with the internal Project Manager at the task level: you create tasks from client commitments, they ensure correct assignment and workflow fit
Maintain a consistent, direct daily check-in with the internal PM to avoid either side working with incomplete information
Build contextual knowledge of each client relationship — history, expectations, and communication style — to inform what's realistic to commit to
What You Bring
Must have:
Proven track record of follow-through and reliability in a client-facing or client-adjacent role
Strong active listening skills — able to catch implied commitments and casual mentions a client will remember
Operational judgment — able to assess in real time whether a commitment is realistic and needs internal vetting before being promised
High proficiency in ClickUp or a comparable task management platform
English C1+: written and spoken fluency for client communication and internal coordination with US-based leadership
Comfortable being direct and professional when following up on incomplete or overdue items
Ability to build trust across a growing client portfolio without needing to be the most vocal person in the room
How Success Is Measured:
Action item closure rate: 90%+ of action items completed by their committed deadline (primary metric)
Follow-up cadence: every open item checked within 48 hours if not complete
Deadline integrity: percentage of client-communicated deadlines that were confirmed/approved before being shared
Proactive escalation: at-risk items surfaced internally before the client raises them
Client experience: qualitative signals of client confidence in follow-through
