Position Summary
Provide comprehensive diagnostic assessment, and determining medically necessary
service needs of client. Clients not meeting criteria for suspected mental
illness will be linked with appropriate services in the community. The goal for
all clients is to meet their clinical needs, which will enable them to work
towards recovery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies
or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
• Must qualify as a MHP or higher per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule
132.
• Knowledge of DSM diagnoses and appropriate criteria for each diagnosis.
• Knowledge of accepted assessment techniques
• Ability to quickly establish rapport with others
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare
record
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed
time frames
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities:
1. Work hours prescribed by the leadership and any additional hours deemed
necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
2. Provide centralized diagnostic assessments that include computerized social
histories, mental status, presenting problem, diagnosis, and treatment
needs.
3. Determine appropriate level of care and treatment using centers utilization
management criteria, develop corresponding ISP with clients, and coordinate
needs with appropriate staff
4. Identify the need for immediate crisis intervention services
5. Maintain documentation per center quality assurance procedures and clinical
performance standards
6. Assess client needs and strengths and establish a comprehensive plan that
addresses support and treatment needs necessary for less restrictive care
and stabilization to occur safely
7. Provide linkage, referrals and advocacy with community resources and
community organizations
8. As assigned, performs CLIA-waived laboratory testing and related quality
control activities in accordance with CLIA requirements, manufacturer
instructions, infection control protocols, and organizational procedures.
9. Cooperate with work team/center/on accomplishment of strategic objectives
and activities
10. Ensure that the clinical treatment needs are met for consumers, which will
enable them to work towards recovery.
11. Educate community agencies regarding services offered by Rosecrance
12. Serve as a member of the Access team and participate in all team meetings
and activities.
13. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the
framework of the law.
14. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
15. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and
demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance
16. Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned
Schedule:
• Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Work Location: Remote (must reside in IL)
Compensation & Rewards
• Base Pay: Starting at $56,950.40 year (pay is based on education, experience,
and credentials)
• Additional Pay Enhancements in addition to Base Salary:
Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, or CPS): +$0.72/hour
(equivalent of +$1,500 annualized)
